IShowSpeed, one of the world’s biggest streamers, first went viral in late December 2021 after a funny and emotional moment in his YouTube live stream titled “EARLY STREAM!” went viral. While playing Fortnite, he met a young player named “Acey Daddy.” During their 1v1 match, Acey suddenly said, “Please, Speed. I need this… My mom is kinda homeless. I live with my dad. I want to help her out.” The way IShowSpeed reacted made the moment unforgettable, he tried hard not to laugh, puckered his lips, and closed his eyes. That short clip quickly spread all over the internet, turning into one of the most shared memes from his streams.

During the stream, when Acey Daddy said his emotional line, IShowSpeed was caught between laughing and keeping a straight face. One of the other players in the voice chat called him out and said, “Speed, I’m watching your stream, why are you trying not to laugh, bruh? That’s disrespectful as sh*t, bruh.” Fans later clipped the exact moment and shared it widely on YouTube, TikTok, and Twitter.

EARLY STREAM!

The “puckered lips” moment became one of the most used memes in gaming culture. It was even turned into a Twitch emote and is still used in chats to this day. Many fans say this was one of the first viral clips that made IShowSpeed an online star.

IShowSpeed reunites with Fortnite fan Acey Daddy after viral 2021 clip resurfaces

Almost five years later, in October 2025, IShowSpeed surprised fans when he reunited with Acey Daddy to recreate the viral clip. This time, they again played Fortnite 1v1s, just like in 2021. IShowSpeed asked Acey if his mom was still homeless. Acey replied, “Nah, nah, she kinda financially stable now.” Speed smiled and said, “I’m happy, bro.”To make it more nostalgic, IShowSpeed even wore the same Adidas hoodie and ski mask he had on in the original stream.
