Sunita Ahuja says Govinda has to ‘lose weight’

Sunita Ahuja says Govinda has to 'lose weight' and 'take care of himself'; reveals the actor spends lakhs on 'puja paath': 'They make him a fool'

Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja, has never shied away from speaking her mind, and her latest comments are about her husband’s growing reliance on pandits and astrologers, his expensive pujas, and the people she believes have been giving him poor advice. With her trademark honesty, Sunita revealed how the ‘Raja Babu’ actor spends lakhs on rituals suggested by his so-called well-wishers.

Sunita Ahuja speaks on Govinda’s lavish pujas

During a chat with Paras S Chhabra on the ‘Abraa Kaa Dabra Show’, Sunita shared her views while discussing how some pandits misguide people for money. She said, “We also have one in our house, Govinda’s pandit. He is also like this only – get pujas done, give Rs 2 lakhs. I tell him that you should pray on your own, unka karaaya hua puja paath kuch kaam nahi aane wala hai (The prayers performed by him through others are not going to be of any use.) God will accept the prayers that you do on your own. I don’t believe in all this. Even if I donate or do any good deed, I do it with my own hands for my karma. Darrne wala darr jaata hai (people get scared).”

Sunita Ahuja criticises Govinda’s close advisers

Sunita also shared that the ‘Bhagam Bhag’ actor’s problem lies with the kind of people he listens to. She revealed that his close circle gives him bad advice and keeps him from hearing her side of things. She said, “Now Chichi has to lose weight and look good. He should take care of himself, that’s my wish. He recently said that I am making three films, but I feel that the problem is he doesn’t get a good team. The circle that he sits in has fool writers that are less of writers and more fools.”Adding further, she said, “They make him a fool and give terrible advice. He doesn’t get good people and they don’t like me because I say the truth. I want to tell them that if you want to say something, say it on my face, not to him.”

Sunita Ahuja shares her personal dreams

Sunita also spoke about her personal wishes and how she wants to do something meaningful in her life. She shared, “It’s my heart’s wish that I want to make an old age home and some shelter for animals. I will make sure to do that with my own money. I will not take even a single rupee from Govinda because he won’t give money to me, but only his chamchas (bootlickers).”
