Ajith Kumar credits his success to his wife

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Ajith Kumar credited his wife for his success. The actor stated that he doesn’t think he is an “easy person to live with.” He further shared, “I have put her through a lot of hard times, but she has been very supportive.”The ‘Good Bad Ugly’ actor added that till their children came along, his wife would travel with him for his races. He said, “None of this would have been possible without her support.”

Ajith Kumar on sacrifices he had to make in his career

In the same interview, Ajith also talked about the sacrifices he had to make during his career. He added, “I am confined to my home most of the time. I am grateful to my fans for all the love they give, but because of that same love, I hardly get to be out with my family.”The actor expressed that because of the massive fan following, he can’t even go to his son’s school to drop him off. He shared, “There have been times when I have been asked to leave, very politely.” He stated that fame gives a person everything, like comfort and a good lifestyle; however, “the things that really matter to you, it takes away all that from you.”Ajith then talked about how he was not good at Tamil in the beginning of his career. The actor shared that he had an accent in Tamil, but he worked on it. The superstar further shared that he was initially asked to change his name because people felt it was not a common name. He said, “I insisted that I would not want to have any other name.”In the same interview, the actor went on to reveal that he had undergone 29 surgeries during his cinematic career.

He was last seen in the film ‘Good Bad Ugly’. It was released in theaters on April 10, 2025. The actor is currently enjoying his other passion, racing cars.
