Aditya rubbishes rumors on Pratibha replacing Sharvari

Aditya Sarpotdar rubbishes rumors on Pratibha Ranta replacing Sharvari Wagh in ‘Maha Munjya'; calls her an 'integral part' of the film

‘Munjya’ has become a box office hit, earning over ₹107 crore net in India and ₹132 crore worldwide. The film, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar and starring Sharvari, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, and S. Sathyaraj, blends folklore with comedy and horror, gaining widespread audience appreciation and strong commercial success.

Pratibha Ranta was recently rumored to be replacing Sharvari in ‘Maha Munjya’. However, in an interview, Aditya Sarpotdar, the director of ‘Munjya’ and ‘Thamma’, rubbished these reports, and clarified on Sharvari’s inclusion in the film.

Aditya Sarpotdar denies rumors about Pratibha Ranta’s involvement

When asked by News18 about Pratibha Ranta’s involvement in any MHCU films, Aditya dismissed the rumors, saying, “Yaar, I don’t know where this Pratibha story came from. I’m sure it’s just another rumour because vo definitely nahi hai, that’s not how it is.” He clarified that the main cast of ‘Munjya’, including Sharvari and Abhay Verma, will be part of the upcoming film. Addressing reports about Pratibha replacing Sharvari in ‘Munjya 2’, Aditya stated, “that’s just not possible because Sharvari is an integral part of the Munjya family.” He added that announcements about new cast members will be made at the appropriate time.

Box office success of ‘Munjya’

‘Munjya’, the fourth entry in the Maddock Supernatural Universe, made a significant impact at the box office. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the movie stars Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, Sharvari, and S. Sathyaraj. Its plot is based on the legendary tale of Munjya, rooted deeply in Indian folklore and mythology.
