Taylor Swift has turned off TikTok comments after facing huge online backlash. The 36-year-old singer was accused of using Nazi signs, racist words, and “trad wife” ideas in her new album The Life of a Showgirl and her new merch. Fans said the hate had gone too far, while others believed she was right to close the comments to protect her peace. According to PrimeTimer, the talk began soon after the album’s release earlier this month when users found “hidden” symbols and meanings in her lyrics and jewelry.

Taylor Swift closes TikTok comments after online hate

Taylor Swift’s TikTok page, which has more than 33 million followers, now has comments fully turned off. Fans noticed this change after her posts started getting flooded with hate and false claims.Supporters on X said Taylor Swift did the right thing. One fan wrote, “It’s sad she had to do this, but she needs peace.” Another said, “She should keep it off like she did on Instagram.” Back in 2017, during her Reputation era, Taylor Swift had also turned off Instagram comments after facing hate during that time. Many Swifties said the move showed how much the constant online attacks were affecting her mental health.Fans pointed out that the comments were filled with people accusing Taylor of racism and Nazi ties, even when most of her posts were unrelated. Taylor Swift has not made any public comment about the backlash so far.

Why is Taylor Swift facing online criticism?

The trouble started after Taylor Swift released The Life of a Showgirl earlier this month. One big issue was her merch, especially a silver necklace called “Opalite.” The jewelry had eight lightning bolt shapes and an eight-pointed star. After these claims went viral, the item was quietly removed from her store. Some people also pointed to her lyrics in songs like Wi$h Li$t and Eldest Daughter. They said lines about “blonde hair and blue eyes” and the word “savage” had racial undertones. Others accused her of using African American slang in a way that felt forced. The “trad wife” claims also spread fast online. In her songs, Taylor Swift talks about family life, cooking, and raising kids, things some call “traditional wife” themes. Critics said it sends a wrong message to young fans, while others said she’s just sharing her own dream of a simple life.Even with the hate, many Swifties have defended her online, saying Taylor Swift is being unfairly targeted. Some called the accusations “insane” and said the internet is twisting her words. Go to Source
