Nissan Motor India has achieved a major export milestone with the shipment of its 1.2 millionth vehicle from the country, underscoring its commitment to the government’s ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ initiative. The landmark vehicle — a New Nissan Magnite B-SUV bound for the GCC region — was ceremoniously flagged off by Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India, at Kamarajar Port in Ennore, Tamil Nadu. Since beginning its export operations, the carmaker has shipped models including the Magnite, Sunny, Kicks, and Micra to markets across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The Magnite’s introduction has expanded Nissan India’s global reach, with exports now covering 65 countries across both left-hand and right-hand drive markets.

“We are proud to celebrate yet another historic milestone of exporting 1.2 million Nissan vehicles from India. This achievement reflects the dedication of our teams and the trust of customers worldwide in our Made-in-India cars,” said Vatsa.

The New Nissan Magnite, recognised among the safest B-segment SUVs, holds a 5-star Global NCAP rating for adult occupant protection and 3 stars for child protection. Featuring over 20 segment-first features and 55+ safety elements, the model continues to strengthen Nissan’s position in the compact SUV segment.

The company is also preparing for the launch of its new global C-SUV, the Nissan Tekton, in India next year, which will also be exported to select international markets.
