Emraan on why fans loved his cameo in Ba***ds of Bollywood

'This is the image people used to love me for...': Emraan Hashmi reveals why fans loved his cameo in Aryan Khan's Ba***ds of Bollywood

Emraan Hashmi’s surprise cameo in Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood,’ has gone viral, with the actor attributing its success to the return of his beloved ‘loverboy’ image. Hashmi expressed openness to revisiting such roles if the right script emerges. Co-star Raghav Juyal shared his heartfelt experience filming the scene, even singing in Arabic for comedic effect.

Emraan Hashmi recently opened up about the reason why his surprise cameo on Aryan Khan’s debut directorial, Ba***ds of Bollywood with co-star Raghav Juyal worked.

Emraan on his viral cameo

In conversation with PTI, Emraan said, “It was a fun scene to do… It just got the recognition and the attention that I didn’t know it was going to get, but it’s great. I’m happy for everyone who’s part of the show. It just has blown up and become this viral thing.”Elaborating further, he added, “This is the image that people used to love me for; they were missing it for a while, and then they saw a little glimpse of it, and it kind of just blew up. So yeah, it’s fun.”

Open to returning to his loverboy roles

The actor also revealed in the interview that he wouldn’t mind returning to his loverboy space, provided the right opportunity comes. “I’ve always said that I’m not serving an image or running away from something. If there’s something that comes my way, which is in a similar vein to that, I would still do it. And from the looks of it, people want to see me do it, at least. Although I don’t want to get stuck in an image, I definitely would play up that image again if I get an opportunity,” he concluded.

Raghav Juyal on working with Emraan

In an earlier interview with News18 Showsha, Raghav said, “Bahut accha response mila. Expect kiya tha maine bhi aur Aryan ne bhi ke aisa hoga. I really worked hard on myself and created something new. Bahut maza aaya mujhe. Emraan sir aaye aur woh scene hua, main rone bhi lag gaya scene mein! Aur woh bante bante ban gaya aisa scene — bahut hee dil se kiya maine…Maine specially Arabic version gaya, I thought usse funny lagega (I got a really good response. Aryan and I both expected it would turn out this way. I enjoyed it a lot. When Emraan sir came and that scene happened, I actually started crying. And while doing it, the scene just shaped up like that — I did it straight from the heart. I specifically sang the Arabic version because I thought it would come across as funny).”
