Aditya Sarpotdar drops hints about Kriti Sanon’s return to the horror-comedy universe

In an interview, Aditya Sarpotdar was asked about Kriti Sanon’s character, who was believed to have died after falling off a cliff in ‘Bhediya’. His response left everyone wondering if she might return in the future. The director was quoted by Mid-Day as saying, “Amar made that film, and it clearly took that story to a closure. You saw Anika fall from the cliff, and she fell down.”He added, “But you didn’t see where she fell. You can imagine where she must have gone and if she will come back or not. If you think she will, you never know.”Praising Kriti, Aditya further said, “I think Kriti is a fantastic actress. And I do feel that this universe is made up of very good actresses.”This hint has left fans of the horror-comedy universe excited.

More about ‘Bhediya 2’

In an earlier interview with Bollywood Hungama, ‘Bhediya’ director Amar Kaushik revealed that they could have made Varun Dhawan’s character stronger and more muscular after his transformation, but they chose not to. He explained, “I had seen that approach in several Western films and didn’t want to repeat it. Our story was about animals saving the forest, so ‘Bhediya’ had to be like any other creature.”He also mentioned that Varun was thrilled with his cameo in ‘Thamma’ and urged him to begin work on ‘Bhediya 2’ soon.Meanwhile, ‘Thamma’, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, released in theatres on October 21, 2025.
