Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ is now heading online, following its massive theatrical success. This prequel delves into the origins of the Panjurli Daiva legend and the conflicts of the Kadamba dynasty era. Starring Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, and Gulshan Devaiah, the film is lauded for its visual splendor and cultural depiction.

Rishab Shetty’s juggernaut ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’, after its tremendous run in the theatres, is now set to hit the OTT world. ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ will be streaming on Prime Video from October 31st. Sharing a small clip from the movie, the makers wrote, “get ready to witness the LEGENDary adventure of BERME.” The film is set to release in Kannada, along with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.Details regarding the Hindi dub are yet to be made by the makers.

About ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’

Written, directed, and headlined by Rishab Shetty, the film takes viewers deep down into the past. Being the prequel of the 2022 smash hit ‘Kantara – A Legend’. The film is about the origins of the Panjurli Daiva legend — the divine guardian whose spirit protects the sacred forests of Kantara. It includes the clash between the kings and tribes from the era of the Kadamba dynasty.

The movie includes Rishab Shetty as Berme, Rukmini Vasanth as Kanakavathi, a princess, Gulshan Devaiah as Kulashekhara, a ruthless and entitled king of the Bangra kingdom and Jayaram plays the role of King Rajashekhara. The film also features Rakesh Poojary, Prakash Thuminad, and Pramod Shetty in supporting role.The film is celebrated for its visual grandeur and spiritual impact, which it brought to the big screen. It also features the Bhuta Kola traditions of coastal Karnataka and has breathtaking cinematography.The musical score is composed by Ajaneesh Loknath.
