BJP Candidate Sangeeta Kumari Faces Massive Public Protest in Mohania Assembly Seat

The political temperature in Bihar’s Kaimur district has risen sharply as BJP candidate Sangeeta Kumari faced intense public opposition during her election campaign in the Mohania Assembly constituency. A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing a large crowd surrounding Kumari’s vehicle and shouting slogans against her.According to reports, the situation escalated when Sangeeta Kumari, accompanied by her team and convoy, entered a local village. Residents expressed anger, accusing her of neglecting development work in the region during her previous term. The protestors claimed that despite several promises, no significant improvement was seen in basic infrastructure, roads, or employment opportunities.Eyewitness videos show villagers chasing the convoy and continuing to raise slogans demanding accountability. The incident underscores the growing anti-incumbency sentiment among voters ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025.Interestingly, Sangeeta Kumari had contested the 2020 elections on a Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) ticket before switching to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Her change in political allegiance and the lack of visible development are now being seen as major reasons behind the backlash.
