Will White House ballroom be named after Charlie Kirk? — Here’s what we know

Trump's new White House ballroom stirs buzz: Will it be named after Charlie Kirk? — Here's what we know

US President Donald Trump is reportedly considering several names for the new White House ballroom, following days of controversy over his administration’s pricey East Wing project.Earlier in the week, when the president was asked what he’d name the space, he told reporters, “I won’t get into that now.” A senior White House official told Kellie Meyer of NewsNation that they “don’t think a decision has been made” on the name of the ballroom.

Is Trump considering naming new White House ballroom after himself?

Earlier, ABC news reported that officials involved in the planning of the ballroom project had started to refer to it as “The President Donald J Trump Ballroom.”However, speaking to reporters before boarding Marine One on Friday night, Trump said he had considered naming the new structure the Presidential Ballroom “or something like that,” but added that “we haven’t really thought about a name yet.” Trump also revealed that the budget could expand again as he said the White House has around $350 million now for the project. He hinted that if he were to receive a payment from the Department of Justice, which would be in the form of a penalty for investigations into any potential links between his 2016 campaign and the Russian government, he would donate some or all of the funds to the ballroom project.

Is Charlie Kirk’s name other option?

As Trump denied naming the Ballroom after himself, now MAGA loyalists are seeking that it be named after Charlie Kirk. Several people on X proposed calling it the “Charles J Kirk Ballroom” or even “Charles James Kirk Freedom Hall,” praising Kirk for his work in advocating freedom and human rights.Independent journalist Eric Daugherty wrote, ” Conservatives are suggesting President Trump name the new White House ballroom “Charles J. Kirk Ballroom” GREAT idea.” Another people on X said, “The uniparty cult controlled MSM put out another fake story that Trump was going to name the new ballroom after himself. Another MSM lie. The ballroom should be named after Charlie Kirk!” Another journalist posted, “Please call it the Charles J. Kirk Ballroom.”A user wrote, “I think Trump should name the new ballroom after Charlie Kirk.”
