Dad who bobbitised partner for girl's rape ends life

Lucknow: A 30-year-old man died by suicide in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district on Friday, two days after bobbitising his 28-year-old partner for allegedly raping his six-year-old daughter.The child’s father and the accused lived together. The girl, who stayed with her mother, was visiting her father when she was allegedly sexually assaulted, leading to her father attacking his partner. The man suffered grievo-us injuries to his private parts and was hospitalised. Police booked him under Pocso Act.After the crime, cops had summoned the child’s father to the police station. He returned home Thursday evening. On Friday morning, he made tea, prayed and sent his daughter outside the room before locking the door and allegedly hanging himself, police said.SHO Dinesh Kumar Mishra said preliminary investigation indicated he was de-eply distressed at the events.
