Janhvi addresses plastic surgery rumours, Sridevi’s guidance

Janhvi Kapoor addresses plastic surgery rumours, mom Sridevi's guidance, ‘I don’t want to perpetuate idea of perfection’

There has been widespread public speculation that Janhvi Kapoor has undergone plastic surgery, though the actress has never officially confirmed it. While there is no confirmed information, the most frequently cited alleged procedures include rhinoplasty (nose job), buccal fat removal for a slimmer face, and lip fillers for fuller lips.

Janhvi opens up on beauty standards and transparency

In the latest episode of Two Much With Kajol and Twinkle, Janhvi Kapoor joined Karan Johar for a candid conversation that delved deeper than the usual glamour and gossip. The actress spoke openly about beauty standards, self-image, and the stigma surrounding cosmetic surgery. “I don’t believe in gatekeeping,” Janhvi shared. “I was one of the young girls who was very impressionable with the onset of social media and seeing everyone being judged to look a certain way. I don’t want to perpetuate to young girls this idea of perfection. I’m a big believer in ‘you do you,’ do whatever makes you happy. I would be very happy to be a completely open book about things.”

On viral “buffalo-plasty” claims

Addressing bizarre online rumours about her appearance, particularly viral videos claiming she underwent a procedure called “buffalo-plasty”, Janhvi clarified the matter with composure.“I think I have been very intelligent, conservative, and proper about what I have done,” she said. “Of course, I had the guidance of my mom and I’d like to share that. Also as a cautionary tale, because if a young girl sees a video like this and decides mujhe bhi ye buffalo-plasty karna hai and something goes wrong, that would be the worst thing ever. I think transparency is important.”
