Keerthiswaran’s directorial debut ‘Dude’ is proving to be a crowd-puller at the box office. In just five days, the Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju starrer has collected an impressive Rs 50.55 crore across languages.As reported by the Sacnilk website, the film earned Rs 9 crore (early estimates) on its fifth day, maintaining a solid hold despite weekday competition. After a strong opening of Rs 9.75 crore, the film’s collections rose steadily through the weekend, peaking at Rs 10.8 crore on Monday.
Tamil version leads the way
‘Dude’ is performing exceptionally well in Tamil regions, where it recorded an overall 54.67% occupancy on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Morning shows started modestly at 33.25%. The numbers picked up during the afternoon and evening slots as it peaked at 68.67% and 61.83% respectively.

‘Dude’ has Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarathkumar, Rohini, and Hridhu Haroon playing key roles. The story revolves around cousins Agan and Kural, whose close bond is tested when one begins to develop romantic feelings for the other. Despite its sensitive premise, the film handles the subject with humour and emotional maturity. An excerpt from ETimes review reads, “Dude is a confident debut film.
