Rishab Shetty on the film’s intent

Talking to PTI about the film, Rishab claimed that he had no ‘ideology or agenda’ behind telling this story. “As a storyteller, I always think, I should never be biased, and that we should tell stories to people, like about our folklore, Bharatiyata, and our belief system of nature worshipping. So by adding all these elements we made this story,” he said, adding, “Irrespective of all (political) parties and people, there is no ideology or agenda in this (film), we are just establishing this story, and people are liking and appreciating it. ”

Kangana Ranaut’s reaction

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut recently responded to a social media post that compared the Dev culture of the Himalayas to the traditions shown in Rishab Shetty’s film. The user had shared a heartfelt post saying, “What Kantara has shown is reality. Until I saw this movie, I wasn’t aware of South India, but believe me, everyone born in the Himalayas has felt and seen things beyond imagination. The Dev culture here is truly divine, and this movie beautifully shows the vastness of Hinduism and the deep connection people have with their local deities. Kudos to you @shetty_rishab sir for bringing such a marvellous project.”The post caught Kangana’s attention, and she was quick to respond with admiration for the film. She wrote, “Very nice, such films can be crucial for stopping tribal conversion also.”
