Baahubali- The Epic’ crosses Rs 1 crore mark in US markets

SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia,Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj are all set to bring back the magic of Baahubali films in a re-cut 3 hour and 45 minute film which brings both the parts together as Baahubali -The Epic, it is slated to release on 31st October.The film is off to very promising start for re-released films at the United States of America box office where it has collected over USD 130,000 (Rs 1.14 crore) for its premeire screenings from just over 120 shows. The film has till now sold about 6400 tickets and with premiere being on 29th October- that number is only going to surge higher and higher.

Trade suggests that the franchise’s enduring popularity, and the excitement surrounding its large-scale storytelling along with the joy of watching the film as it was meant to be seen as one film are key factors driving these advance sales.

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda mentioned to ETimes, that back in time also they had tried to re-edit the two films into one . He said , “ We actually tried something like this around 2018–19, it was just an edit. We combined both the films to see how it would look, but everyone got busy with different projects, and we dropped it.”
