Actor-director Dhanush’s Tamil family drama ‘Idli Kadai’ has now entered its third week in theatres but is witnessing a noticeable slowdown in its box office momentum.According to the Sacnilk website, the film has collected Rs 71.32 crore worldwide, including Rs 50 crore net in India, Rs 58.82 crore gross domestically, and Rs 12.5 crore from overseas markets. The movie is reportedly having an average verdict at the box office.

Reportedly ‘Idli Kadai’s daily box office numbers have seen a significant dip during its third weekend.On Day 18 (Sunday), the film earned only Rs 5 lakhs, following Rs 3 lakhs on Day 17 and Rs 28 lakhs on Day 16. Tamil Nadu net stands at Rs 46.52 crore.

A mixed response for Dhanush’s emotional drama

Written and directed by Dhanush himself, ‘Idli Kadai’ stars Dhanush, Sathyaraj, Nithya Menen, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, and Rajkiran in key roles. The film mostly received mixed responses from the audiences.One Twitter user wrote, “A Fantastic light hearted movie which we missed in Tamil cinema for long time Nice first half following with heart melting second half’D’ what a writing man.
