Shah Rukh Khan makes a special appearance with AbRam from Mannat to mark India's 79th Independence Day: ‘Our greatest gift’

Marking India’s 79th Independence Day, Shah Rukh Khan made a special appearance alongside his youngest son, AbRam Khan. The actor was seen waving to fans from the balcony of his Mumbai home Mannat, a tradition that delights his followers every year. Sharing a picture with AbRam on Twitter and Instagram, SRK penned a note about the significance of the day. “Our Independence is our greatest gift… a key to our progress. Let’s keep our heads held high and hearts open. Happy Independence Day to all of us… Jai Hind!” he wrote. Salman Khan marked the day with a soulful rendition of Sare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Humaara, while several others from the film industry, including Akshay Kumar, Hema Malini, Rajkummar Rao, Vikrant Massey, Arjun Rampal, Sara Ali Khan, Ram Charan, Suniel Shetty, and Soha Ali Khan, took to social media to extend their wishes.

First National Award win for JawanThis Independence Day comes on the heels of SRK’s first National Award win for Best Actor for Jawan. Earlier this month, the actor engaged in lighthearted banter with casting director Mukesh Chhabra, who was responsible for casting him in the Atlee-directed blockbuster.Chhabra reshared a clip of SRK’s award win on Twitter, writing “Love you” with a series of emojis. In his signature witty style, SRK responded, “Thank you very much for casting me in the film… twice,” referencing his dual roles as Captain Vikram Rathore and his son Azad Rathore.The casting director replied with equal humour, addressing him simply as “Sir” followed by playful emojis.
