It seems that US President Donald Trump has started liking Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s dress look. Meeting after nearly two months in the same Oval Office where he once hated his dress, but slowly and gradually started liking his fashion sense. Trump on Friday praised Zelenskyy’s dark suit as he arrived at the White House for the third time to talk on the Russia-Ukraine war, months after their August meeting.”And I think he looks beautiful in his jacket. I hope people notice. It’s a good. It’s actually very stylish. I like it,” Trump told Zelenskyy. In August, when Zelenskyy came to the White House, Trump praised his dressing style, saying, “I don’t believe it… I love it!”Back then in February, Trump poked fun at Zelenskyy’s military-style outfit, joking to reporters as Zelenskyy appeared in a black sweater, “Oh look, he’s all dressed up today!”
What to expect in today’s meeting?
This time, Ukraine’s push for long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles is expected to take center stage. Capable of skimming low and fast under radar detection, the Tomahawks would give Kyiv the reach to strike deep into Russian territory — targeting military sites and energy infrastructure far beyond the front lines. Meanwhile, Trump spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday, announcing plans for a second summit — this time in Budapest, Hungary — though no date has been set. Secretary of State Marco Rubio is slated to meet Russian officials ahead of the talks. The announcement follows Trump’s summer meeting with Putin in Alaska, where he urged the Russian leader to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky face-to-face — a proposal Putin has so far flatly rejected.
