Ammy recalls shooting through grief after Bhalla’s demise

Ammy Virk recalls shooting through grief after Jaswinder Bhalla’s demise: 'Even Virat Kohli played after his father passed away'

Ammy Virk who is celebrated for his comic flair and heartfelt performances, recently opened up about dealing with emotional hardship while filming his upcoming movie Bambukat 2.In a candid chat with ANI, Ammy revealed how he and co-star Binnu Dhillon struggled to continue shooting the film’s climax after receiving the tragic news of veteran actor Jaswinder Bhalla’s passing.“Karna toh padhta hai… (You have to keep going somehow)… I was in the middle of a shoot with Binnu Bhaji when I got the news about Bhalla Saab’s passing. It became really difficult for us to continue with the shoot. And when it’s a comedy scene, it’s even harder. If it were up to me, I’d rather take a pause. But still, you have to go on,” Ammy shared emotionally.Draws inspiration from Virat Kohli and Gurdas MaanAmmy drew parallels between his own experience and the resilience shown by icons like Virat Kohli and Gurdas Maan during personal tragedies. “It’s a part of life… Even Virat Kohli bhaji played after his father passed away. Gurdas Maan sahab too went ahead and performed at a concert following his father’s death. It’s never easy, but the work has to be done… sometimes, you have to do it even when you don’t feel like doing it,” he said.Ammy prepares for ‘Godday Godday Chaa 2’ releaseWhile still processing his emotions, Ammy is also gearing up for the release of his next film, ‘Godday Godday Chaa 2’, directed by Vijay Kumar Arora. The film, a sequel to the National Award-winning Godday Godday Chaa, is slated to hit theatres on October 21.
