Bihar Elections: BJP Rejects JDU’s CM Face Condition, Sticks To Pre-Decided Strategy | ABP NEWS

In a major development amid Bihar elections, the BJP has reportedly refused to accept a key demand from its NDA ally, the Janata Dal (United). JDU had insisted that Nitish Kumar be formally declared as the NDA’s Chief Ministerial face ahead of the polls. However, sources indicate that BJP has maintained its stance of contesting under its pre-decided strategy, emphasizing that the party will continue to follow the line of fighting elections under Nitish Kumar’s leadership without formally endorsing him as NDA’s CM candidate. The refusal highlights emerging tensions within the NDA alliance as parties negotiate roles and leadership ahead of crucial voting. JDU leaders had publicly articulated this condition on camera, signaling the importance they placed on a formal announcement. BJP’s insistence on sticking to its established electoral line suggests the party is prioritizing internal planning and seat-sharing strategy while maintaining coordination with alliance partners. Political analysts suggest that this disagreement may influence campaigning dynamics, but both parties are likely to continue their collaboration under broader NDA objectives.
