‘Golmaal 5’: Ajay Devgn to begin shooting in March 2026; Kareena Kapoor Khan may join - Reports

Ajay Devgn’s calendar is packed with blockbuster franchises, and fans couldn’t be happier. As per Mid-Day, after wrapping up Drishyam 3, which begins filming in December, the superstar will move straight into another beloved series, Golmaal 5.

Drishyam 3 wraps by March 2026

Devgn is currently preparing for Drishyam 3, where he’ll reprise his iconic role as Vijay Salgaonkar. The thriller, directed by Abhishek Pathak, will go on floors in Goa this December and is expected to wrap by March 2026. Pathak reportedly wants to ensure the same sharp storytelling and suspense that made the first two installments such hits.The film will see Devgn reuniting with Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Rajat Kapoor, while buzz suggests Paresh Rawal has also joined the cast. A source told mid-day that the team has been polishing the script to make sure it lives up to audience expectations.

Golmaal 5 gears up with familiar faces

After completing Drishyam 3, Devgn will shift gears to Rohit Shetty’s signature comedy universe with Golmaal 5.The next chapter of the hit franchise will bring back fan favorites Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Kemmu. Shetty, currently directing his Rakesh Maria biopic starring John Abraham, is expected to wrap that project by the end of the year, clearing the path for Golmaal 5 to kick off in March 2026. Meanwhile, Mid-Day reported that talks are underway with Kareena Kapoor Khan to reprise her role as the female lead, marking another reunion with Devgn and Shetty after Singham Again (2024). “Kareena shares wonderful chemistry with Ajay,” a source told Mid-Day. “Her presence brings back a nostalgic charm for fans who loved her in Golmaal Returns (2008) and Golmaal 3 (2010).”With the cast expected to be finalized by December, the Golmaal team looks ready to return with its signature chaos, laughs, and blockbuster energy, setting the stage for another hit in 2026.
