'Kantara: Chapter 1' box office collection day 14 (LIVE): The Rishab Shetty movie crosses Rs 460crore, begins slow on second Wednesday

‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ starring Rishab Shetty and also directed by him, has now completed its second weekend and saw good growth over the second Saturday and Sunday. It clashed at the box office with ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ but clearly has beaten the film by a huge margin. ‘Kantara’ also had a wider release than ‘Sunny Sanskari..’ as it released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Saturday, it saw a good jump, making a total of Rs 39.00 crore. On second Sunday, it grew further and made Rs 40 crore. On Monday, it has begun on a slow note. The film has made Rs 13.50 crore on day 12 which is Monday. On day 13, which is Tuesday, it made Rs 14 crore and may have benefitted from the discounted ticket rates. Meanwhile, on day 14, it has begun on a slow note and had only made Rs 1.5 crore till afternoon. The total collection of ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ now stands at 467.25 crore.

Meanwhile, at the global box office, it has already crossed Rs 655 crore. According to its producers, Hombale Films, the film earned ₹146 crore gross over its second weekend, bringing its worldwide tally to ₹655 crore in 11 days. That places its 12-day global earnings at approximately ₹675 crore. However, trade estimates suggest a slightly lower figure — closer to ₹650 crore. As of Tuesday, it ranks around 17th position, surpassing ‘Sultan’ (₹628 crore) and ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (₹650 crore).
