Priya drops birthday note for Sunjay amidst legal battle with Karisma’s kids

Priya Sachdev drops emotional post for Sunjay Kapur on his birth anniversary amidst legal battle with Karisma Kapoor's chilren

Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, passed away at the age of 52 after a tragic incident in UK, where he reportedly swallowed a bee while playing Polo, leading to an anaphylactic shock from the sting. His untimely death has since sparked an ongoing inheritance dispute between the Kapur family and Karisma’s children. On his birth anniversary, Priya Sachdev Kapur, Sunjay’s wife at the time of his death, paid an emotional tribute through a heartfelt video post.Quoting a verse from the Bhagavad Gītā, she wrote, “Whatever action a great man performs, others follow. Whatever path he walks, the world pursues. He who lives with purpose and love never perishes, For the divine dwells in all who serve with devotion — Bhagavad Gītā 3.21, 9.31, 9.29” She added further, “You lived these words without ever needing to speak them. You led with kindness, not command. You built with courage, not pride. You gave without expecting, because giving was your nature. I watched you move through storms with grace, carry burdens with calm, and turn every challenge into purpose. You never spoke of faith, you lived it. You believed in doing, not declaring. Even now, your presence feels like quiet strength beside me. In the laughter of our son. In the walls you built with vision. In the stillness of evenings where I feel your peace. They say a great man’s actions guide the world, but for me, your greatest act was how you loved, selflessly and completely.”She concluded by saying, “Some souls don’t depart; they expand. You are everywhere, yet still right here. My Sunjay, I know you are watching over me. Happy Birthday, J.” Priya’s note comes amidst the ongoing legal battle between her and Karisma Kapoor’s children who had filed a plea in court against her alleging that she has forged their father Sunjay’s will. According to reports, Priya has inherited 75% of Sunjay’s estate, while Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, remain legal heirs to the remaining portion and are contesting the will in court.During a recent hearing, Senior Advocate Mahesh Jethmalani highlighted multiple “glaring errors” in the alleged will, questioning its authenticity. He pointed out that the document contained repeated grammatical mistakes and feminine pronouns, including the words ‘she’ and ‘her’ used four times, an unlikely oversight for Sunjay. He read further, “Signed and declared by Sunjay Kapur the testatrix above named as and for her last will.” The advocate said further, “The female form of testator is used… testator is now a she! This is an absurdity… It shows the audacity which people have to present something like this in court… there is no explanation for this clause, there can’t be. Unless Sunjay was of unsound mind incapable of reading English, could never have signed this… In short, Sunjay Kapur has signed this Will as a woman. It is replete with feminine pronoun… It says ‘her last will’, ‘her presence’…”Jethmalani added, “What we have is Sunjay Kapur — a meticulous person — has only an alleged digital footprint; that also in the entire conspectus he is a digital ghost. He does not appear physically. There is no handwriting, no evidence of photographs. There is only some oral evidence which is circumspect. The witnesses have not filed a detailed affidavit yet. Nobody knows what was the time and exact location.”The next hearing on the case is set to take place today, October 15. Go to Source
