Kantara 2 becomes 63rd biggest hit of Hindi Cinema

Rishabh Shetty’s ‘Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1’ continues its box office reign, surpassing ₹465 crore. The Hindi version is now outperforming the Kannada original, contributing significantly to the film’s impressive total. ‘Kantara 2’ has climbed to become the 63rd biggest Hindi cinema hit, overtaking several notable films. With an uninterrupted run ahead, its box office journey is far from over.

Rishabh Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 continues its dominance at the ticket window as the film crosses Rs 460 crore mark with its total collection standing at Rs 465.75 crore. A closer look at the total collection reveals that it is the Kannada version with Hindi version helping the film to rise in the overall race.While both the versions have mostly been neck to neck in terms of collection,it now seems that the Hindi version is picking up speed over its Kannada counterpart. At the end of 13 days the total Kannada contribution stands at Rs 146.45 crore while Hindi stands at Rs 155.35 crore. On the 13th day Kantara 2’s total collection stood at Rs 13.50 crore with Kannada contributing Rs 3.75 crore while Hindi contributing Rs 6.35 crore and the rest coming from Tamil ,Telugu and Kannada versions.

With a total Hindi collection of Rs 155.35 crore Kantara 2 has gone on to become the 63rd biggest hit of Hindi Cinema bypassing Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 which had minted Rs 155 crore.

Till Tuesday Kantara 2 was on 69th position on the leaderboard and in one day it has jumped 6 position leaving behind names like Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan’s Tanu Weds Manu Returns ( Rs 150.71 crore, AKshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s OMG 2( Rs 151.16 crore), Prabhas’s Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire ( Rs 142.65 crore), Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor’s Chhichhore ( Rs 153.16 crore) and Ranveer Singh -Alia Bhatt’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani ( Rs 153.5 crore ).

The journey for the film is still far from over as it has another 6 days of uninterrupted run at the box office with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika’s Thamma and Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat releasing only on 21st October.
Kantara 2 features Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram and Rakimini Vasanth in pivotal roles, the makers have announced the third part with the climax of the second part
