Sharafudheen’s call to ‘Mohanlal’: Asks to delay ‘Ravanaprabhu’

Sharafudheen’s funny plea to 'Lalettan': 'Can’t handle two Mohanlals at once; please shift 'Ravana Prabhu's release date'

Actor Sharafudheen’s latest comedic endeavor has taken social media by storm! In a cheeky video, he requests Mohanlal to hold back his classic hit ‘Ravanaprabhu’s re-release in favor of his own film, ‘Pet Detective.’ Channeling Mohanlal’s legendary dialogue, he comically showcases the push and pull of fame and new projects.

A fun promotional video featuring actor Sharafudheen calling Mohanlal (dubbed voice) to request a change in the re-release date of the Malayalam classic ‘Ravanaprabhu’ has gone viral on social media.The actor, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Pet Detective’, shared the humorous clip as part of the film’s promotions.In the video, Sharafudheen is seen dialing “Mohanlal” and politely asking, “Laletta, could you please shift the release date of Ravanaprabhu?” The voice of Mohanlal in the clip is actually mimicked by someone else, adding to the comic tone.Sharafudheen’s playful plea; says he can’t handle two Mohanlals Sharafudheen continues in the video, saying, “I’ve put all the money I have into this film. I can’t handle two Mohanlals at the same time, so this is a humble request.” To this, “Mohanlal” responds with a mass dialogue from Ravanaprabhu: “This is a game I play only to win, my son.” With that iconic line, the call abruptly ends, leaving viewers in splits. Since “Mohanlal” refuses to change the date, Sharafudheen humorously announces that Pet Detective will now release on October 16, adding the caption, “Was waiting for Lalettan’s permission.” The lighthearted clip has quickly become a social media favorite. One fan commented, “Did Vinay Forrt dub for Lalettan?.” Another one commented, “All the very best Sharafetta, anandettan and team!.” Another commented read, “Anyway, All the Best for Pet Detective.” A fourth one penned, “Oru Lalettan aayirnel kozhpamilernu! Ith ippo randennam aayilleee (It would have been better if it was one Lalettan, now it’s 2 to handle).”Mohanlal celebrates ‘Ravanaprabhu’ revivalMeanwhile, ‘Ravanaprabhu’s 4K Atmos re-release has received a roaring response at the box office, collecting Rs 1.80 crore worldwide within two days, as per box office tracker AB George.Joining in the celebration, Mohanlal took to social media and posted a nostalgic still from the film, captioned, “Hey.. Savari Giri Giri .”
