J0lly LLB 3 earns Rs 2.63 crore in 4th weekend

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ mints little over Rs 2.60 crore over it’s 4th weekend

Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 3’ is proving a box office success, recently crossing ₹112 crore. Despite competition, the film showed strong weekend performance, adding ₹2.63 crore. It’s now aiming to surpass its predecessor’s lifetime collection of ₹117 crore, with no major releases until Diwali. Kumar has several upcoming projects, including collaborations with Priyadarshan.

About three weeks ago Akshay Kumar released his fourth and final film of the year Subhash Kapoor’s Jolly LLB 3 with Arshad Warsi and Saurabh Shukla. The film was the third installment of the Jolly series which began in 2013. It has been a good year for Akshay thanks to films like Sky Force, Housefull 5 and Kesari 2. Jolly LLB 3 is turning out to be a very resilient film at the ticket window despite facing competition from Rishab Shetty’s Kantara 2 and Varun Dhawan’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari over the past 10 days. Last week it added Rs 7.3 crore to its kitty and over its fourth weekend it added another Rs 2.63 crore taking the overall collection of the film to Rs 112.94 crore. The film on Friday earned just Rs 50 lakh but on Saturday it witnessed an over 100 % jump to collect Rs 1 crore and on Sunday the collection stayed steady where it earned Rs 1.13 crore- taking the weekend collection to Rs 2.63 crore. With the weekend numbers it was also able to cross Jolly LLB 2’s 4th weekend numbers where it had collected Rs 1.5 crore. At this point it seems the makers are in the run for 3rd part to cross the lifetime collection of the 2nd part which stands at Rs 117 crore mark. With no major release till Diwali- Jolly LLB 3 can hold on to its screens hoping that it crosses the Rs 117 crore milestone. Akshay will be next seen in three back to back films with Priyadarshan, first being Bhoot Bangla with Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Wamiqa Gabbi. He then has Haiwaan with Saif Ali Khan and Saiyami Kher and hopefully Hera Pheri 3 will kickstart next year with Praesh Rawal and Suniel Shetty.
