Actor Vicky Kaushal has reflected on Vir Hirani’s journey from assisting behind the scenes on the sets of ‘Sanju’ to earning praise as an actor in Rajkumar Hirani’s OTT debut series ‘Pritam & Pedro’. As the show continues to receive an enthusiastic response, Vicky congratulated the entire team and shared a fond memory from the days when Vir was still learning the ropes of filmmaking.Recalling his first interactions with Vir Hirani during the making of ‘Sanju’, Vicky said he has witnessed the young actor’s dedication and growth over the years.”I have known Vir since the time of ‘Sanju’, and I’ve seen him clap in front of me during the shoots. Since the day I’ve known him, he has always been incredibly sincere, and over the years, he’s worked hard and learned so much. It’s been wonderful to watch his journey, and I wish him all the very best,” Vicky shared with IANS.Vir has been garnering appreciation for his performance in ‘Pritam & Pedro’, which marks his acting debut under the direction of his father, Rajkumar Hirani.

Apart from congratulating Vir, Vicky also praised the creative team behind the series, highlighting the collective effort that went into bringing the project to life.”The entire team is incredible, Raju sir, Avinash Arun, Arin, Vikrant Massey, and Arshad Warsi have all come together to create something truly special, and I’m excited for everyone to experience their work,” he added. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Pritam & Pedro’ marks the acclaimed filmmaker’s first venture into the OTT space. The series has found a wide audience and has been trending across multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Kannada.

Reacting to the success of the series, Rajkumar Hirani expressed gratitude for the audience’s love, saying the response had exceeded expectations.”The audience has voted with their time. The binge-watching, the repeat viewing and the overwhelming response to ‘Pritam & Pedro’ have been truly humbling. It’s heartening to see these characters become a part of conversations across the country. We were often told that only dark, gritty stories work on OTT, but I think this acceptance is a reminder that audiences don’t binge genres, they binge stories that make them laugh, touch their hearts and stay with them long after the credits roll,” the filmmaker said.Along with Vir Hirani, ‘Pritam & Pedro’ also features Vikrant Massey, Arshad Warsi and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
