The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday conducted a raid at the Chennai residence of S. Ranganathan, the owner of Tamil Nadu-based Sresan Pharmaceuticals, the manufacturer of Coldrif cough syrup implicated in the deaths of several children in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
ED teams also carried out searches at seven company-linked locations in Chennai under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Additionally, residences of senior officials from the Tamil Nadu drug control department were searched.
