The veteran star took to X handle to share a touching post for Akshara. He shared a rare throwback photo with her, and wrote, “Deara Akshara, I did not see your eyes first. You were asleep. I looked into your mother’s green eyes and thanked her for the wonderful gift- you. Your mother told me you had her eyes. On inspection later I realised a bit of my brown was also seen. These are simple similarities that parents childishly claim. Let them be.”He further added, “You have grown into a beautiful person both in form and thought as well. I’m glad to see you have preserved the child within you as well. That child is mine too. Guard her well. Happy Birthday, Akshara. Forever Yours, Bapu.” Earlier this year, in conversation with News18, Kamal was asked about the chances of him entering Mollywood. “I’m still running after money to run my company. I personally don’t need anything more than I have. But I need money to make my films! So I’m choosing the industry that will finance me,” he said.Kamal also reminisced about opportunities that slipped away — particularly with acclaimed directors from various industries. He spoke of being unable to work with stalwarts like MD Vaidyanathan and Mrinal Sen. “I’m the most unfortunate guy who was fortunate enough to enter the field but never did a movie under the direction of MT Vasudevan Nair,” he added. He was doing ‘Thevar Magan’ when he got an opportunity from Mrinal Sen, so he had to turn it down. Kamal told Mrinal that he would lose a lot of money if he left his own production venture halfway when he complained about not getting the actor’s dates.
