Abu Dhabi's first Bollywood couple ambassadors: Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone bring filmy magic to tourism campaign

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are once again turning heads — but this time, it’s not on the big screen. The couple has officially teamed up as the new faces of Experience Abu Dhabi, becoming the first Bollywood pair to jointly represent the UAE capital’s tourism brand. The announcement came with a short ad film that’s already got fans gushing, as the duo explore the city’s cultural landmarks, share playful banter, and reflect on their journey — both as travellers and as partners.

A first for Abu Dhabi, and Bollywood

While Ranveer has been associated with Experience Abu Dhabi since 2023, Deepika is now stepping into the role as co-ambassador, making them the first Indian celebrity couple to front a campaign of this kind for the Emirate. The collaboration is backed by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and is designed to spotlight the city as a family-friendly destination with something for everyone — from museums and mosques to beaches and adventure spots. The campaign film features the couple walking through the Louvre Abu Dhabi, where they admire a detailed carpet dating back to 90 AD. Ranveer, in typical form, quips:“90 AD – can you imagine this level of detailing in 90 AD? Sometimes I wonder, what would my pose be if they made a statue of me!”To which Deepika replies with a smirk:“You definitely deserve to be in a museum.” The two also visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, the most visited attraction in the Middle East — soaking in its scale and calm. At one point, Ranveer remarks,“It’s just Abu Dhabi. It’s like a pause button.” The video has gone viral since being posted online, with fans praising not just the visuals but also the couple’s chemistry. While they’ve been relatively low-key since the birth of their daughter, this campaign offers a rare and intimate look at them on a shared professional front again.

“Abu Dhabi has it all”: What Ranveer and Deepika say

The messaging behind the campaign is clear, Abu Dhabi is being positioned as a destination that caters to every kind of traveller. In his official statement, Ranveer summed it up simply:“Abu Dhabi is the ultimate family hotspot. They have it all: culture, adventure, beaches, entertainment, you name it.” He also spoke about what it means to share this experience with Deepika:“I am incredibly proud to have shared this city with the world over the years, and what makes me even happier is that I now get to experience this journey with my wife who joins in as a brand ambassador. We are celebrating everything that makes Abu Dhabi so special, from its family-friendly attractions to the warmth of Emirati hospitality. It is a place where people come to create memories for life.” Deepika echoed the sentiment, reflecting on travel and togetherness:“Travel is always more meaningful when it is with the people you love. Ranveer has explored and celebrated Abu Dhabi with so much passion over the last 3 years, and now I get to join him on this journey. I cannot wait to travel, explore, and experience everything this beautiful city has to offer, from its vibrant traditions to the warmth of being welcomed like family. Excited for what is ahead with Abu Dhabi!”Their selection as ambassadors isn’t just all about celebrity appeal, it draws on their consistent portrayal of Indian heritage in films like Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and Ram-Leela. These culturally rich roles, combined with their status as two of Bollywood’s most celebrated faces, help engage the key Indian traveler demographic both within the country and the Emirates, making them natural extensions of a campaign built around culture, legacy, and experience.

What’s coming next

As the newest brand face, Deepika will now front a series of upcoming campaigns showcasing Abu Dhabi’s wide-ranging offerings — from cultural experiences to seasonal events. She will also be part of promotions around major celebrations, including Diwali, adding an Indian festive lens to the campaign’s global appeal. Beyond the promotional angle, this partnership also builds on the couple’s long-standing success as brand collaborators. Over the years, they’ve featured in several ad campaigns together, the most recent being for an air-conditioner brand in April 2025. Ranveer and Deepika tied the knot in Lake Como, Italy in November 2018, and welcomed their daughter Dua in September 2024. Since becoming parents, their public appearances have been few and far between, which makes this new campaign — and their chemistry in it, a standout moment for fans and followers. With this partnership, Experience Abu Dhabi taps into not just star power, but also storytelling — with Ranveer and Deepika showing that travel is, at its best, a shared experience. Go to Source
