China is surely living in the future. Entering the country feels like entering a sci-fi realm. From cashless streets to high-speed trains: the place is full of surprises. China also seems to have excelled in the hospitality business, especially spas. There is a facility called a 24-hour spa in the country that is renowned for being a “life-changing” experience for travellers seeking luxury and comfort. And yes, it allows visitors to rake a dip inside the steaming water for a whole day if they wish to.

Recently, a travel vlogger shared his experience of visiting one such spa in Chengdu city on Instagram. “24-hour spas in China are incredible, and you can stay here for cheaper than a lot of hotels,” shared the man. Praising the “excellent” service, he added that the price for a whole day at the spa, including other amenities, was just 35 dollars (Rs 3,068).

Speaking about the resort-like facilities, the vlogger revealed, “The first stop is this tranquil pool area surrounded by hangout areas, saunas and a series of baths. Just like an onsen (a Japanese hot spring bath), there are many baths with different temperatures and properties.”

Once the globetrotter was through with his hot-water spa session, he explored the kitchen space. The video then showed an assortment of snacks in separate cabinets and “a fully-stocked fridge” with beverages and well… more edibles.

“After changing into your pyjamas, you can then head up to this grand ballroom and feast on what has to be the most delicious ripe fruit I have ever had,” said the travel enthusiast, before enjoying a pineapple.

Special Amenities Provided

Next, the vlogger offered viewers a peek into the special amenities. He said, “There are even more free beverages, a pool table, a gaming room full of PlayStation 5s, a cave library, two cinemas with beds, actual private beds where you can sleep or watch movies, an entire section for massages, poker rooms and tea rooms. There are two restaurants, but they cost extra. The bathrooms have everything from amenities to grooming.”

The internet reacted to the post quickly. “How do they finance this with a 35 bucks entry?” wondered a user. “Is there a limit on how many hours/days/months you can stay?” asked another. “I really want to go to China!” exclaimed a person. “Sounds too good to be true,” read a remark.
