Veteran actress Sandhya Shantaram, wife of renowned late filmmaker V Shantaram passes away at 94

Veteran actress and renowned filmmaker V. Shantaram’s wife, Sandhya Shantaram, passed away at the age of 94. Her funeral was held at Vaikunth Dham in Shivaji Park, Dadar, Mumbai. Though there is no official statement on what caused her death, it is reported that she was suffering from age-related issues. She has worked in V. Shantaram’s films and was widely known for her work in the film ‘Pinjara’. She has also worked in his film titled ‘Do Aankhen Barah Haath’. She impressed everyone with her performance and dance in the film. At her peak, the actress defined the golden era of Indian cinema. She has also featured in the film ‘Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje’, ‘Navrang’, and ‘Amar Bhoopali’.As per the India Today report, her last rites, which were conducted at the Shivaji Park Crematorium, were attended by her close family, friends, and admirers.
