Pawan Kalyan’s ‘OG’ may not have marked the biggest comeback of the Telugu superstar, but it has surely minted the expected numbers at the box office even with mixed reviews from fans and audiences.According to the Sacnilk website, the much-awaited action drama ‘They Call Him OG’, starring Pawan Kalyan, has achieved a major milestone by crossing the Rs 150 crore mark at the Indian box office within just six days. However, the film’s early momentum is showing signs of slowing down as weekday collections continue to dip.

Rs 150 crore milestone reached

After a magnificent start, ‘OG’ managed to rake in Rs 154.85 crore net in India by the end of its sixth day.Reportedly, the Sujeeth directorial collected Rs 21 crore on Day 0 (Wednesday previews) and went on to post a massive Rs 63.75 crore on Day 1 (Thursday). However, the film saw a steep fall on Friday with Rs 18.45 crore, and Saturday and Sunday held steady at Rs 18.5 crore each.

Weekday slump shows impact

By Monday (Day 5), collections dropped by 60% as it settling at Rs 7.4 crore, and Tuesday followed a similar path with Rs 7.25 crore (early estimates). Now the overall India Net collections for this action flick stand at Rs 154.85 crores, which is decent for the film which is getting mixed reports from the audiences.

Occupancy trends for the Pawan Kalyan starrer

Occupancy rates for ‘OG’ show the slowdown. As per the reports, in Telugu, the film recorded an overall 19.10% occupancy on Tuesday, with evening and night shows performing better at around 22%. In Tamil, the occupancy was 14.01%, peaking at 16.10% during evening shows. The Hindi version lagged behind, with just 9.03% occupancy, though night shows saw a mild boost at 15.7%.Featuring Pawan Kalyan alongside Priyanka Arul Mohan, Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy, ‘OG’ has a bigger test to pass, as the Rishab Shetty starrer ‘Kantara Chapter 1’ is all set to release on October 2, giving it much competition.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
