Farah Khan has finally broken her silence on her and Deepika Padukone unfollowing each other on Instagram. The filmmaker clarified that they weren’t following each other even before and explained the truth behind her 8-hour workday comment, while also sharing a few fun anecdotes about Deepika and her family.
They had a pact during Happy New Year
Talking to Pinkvilla, she said, “To begin with, we were not following each other earlier, too!! We had made a pact during the Happy New Year shoot that we wouldn’t communicate on Instagram, instead, direct message and call. We don’t even wish birthday wishes on Insta because Deepika doesn’t like it. Also, my 8 hour comment wasn’t a dig it was to make Dilip say that he will now also work 8 hours when he actually works just for 2 hours!”She further added, “No one even knows I was one of the first few people who went to see Deepika when Dua was born, not everything is done for instagram and paps.”
Fun moments with Rohit Saraf and Dilip
Farah visited Rohit Saraf’s house recently with Dilip. The actor shared that his mother appeared on camera for Farah’s vlog for the first time, after making them wait a year. Farah joked, “Haan, itna time toh Deepika Padukone ne bhi nahi lagaya mujhe haan bolne mein.”Farah’s cook, Dilip, asked when Deepika Padukone would appear on their show. Farah jokingly replied that Deepika now shoots only for 8 hours a day and doesn’t have time for their vlog. “Deepika Padukone ma’am kab aayengi humare show main?” asked Dilip.Farah replied, “Jiss din tu gaon jaayega naa uss din aayegi (the day you go to your village).” She further added, “Deepika Padukone ab sirf 8 ghanta shoot karti hai, usko show pe aane ka time nahi hai (She now shoots only for 8 hours, she doesn’t have time to come to our show).”Deepika Padukone recently made headlines after being dropped from Kalki 2, following her earlier exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. Reports suggested her demands—eight-hour workdays, high pay, and a share in profits—did not sit well with the directors.
