Ashwami and Satya stayed with their father, Mahesh, and pursued acting. Meanwhile, Deepa went on to build a successful career as a costume designer. On August 21, 2013, she launched her saree brand, Queen of Hearts by Deepa Mehta, which became popular in both Marathi and Bollywood film circles. Ashwami frequently modeled for her mother’s saree collection.
