Netizens react hilariously as Big B takes a jibe at Shoaib taking Abhishek’s name

Asia Cup 2025: Netizens drop hilarious memes as Amitabh Bachchan takes a jibe at Pakistan losing and Shoaib Akhtar taking Abhishek Bachchan's name

India won the Asia Cup 2025 against Pakistan on Sunday. The nail-biting match had everyone’s eyes and hearts and Indians celebrated this iconic win. But in a fun turn of events, Amitabh Bachchan credited Abhishek Bachchan for it. For those not in the know, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar was discussing the chances of Pakistan entering the finals. During this conversation, he accidentally used Abhishek Bachchan instead of Abhishek Sharma. Akhtar said, “If Pakistan get Abhishek Bachchan out early on in a hypothetical situation, then what is going to happen with the middle-order? Their middle-order hasn’t performed well.”As this clip went viral on the internet, Abhishek also shared this. The actor took to X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Sir, with all due respect… don’t think they’ll even manage that! And I’m not even good at playing cricket.” This was two days ahead of the finals. Meanwhile, Amitabh Bachchan trolled the Pakistani team and took a jibe at them in his signature wit and humour. The actor wrote on X, “जीत गये !! 🇮🇳🇮🇳 .. well played ‘Abhishek Bachchan’ .. उधर ज़बान लड़खड़ाई, और इधर, बिना batting bowling fielding किए, लड़खड़ा दिया दुश्मन को !! बोलती बंद !! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 जय हिन्द ! जय भारत ! जय माँ दुर्गा !!!!”Bachchan’s tweet sparked a hilarious meme fest and reactions from the internet. A user commented, “Aaj padosiyon ko malum hua hoga #BigB se panga lena to door ki baat hamare #JuniorBachchan hi kafi h unke liye.😉😉😉” Another user said, “Pravu Ji, they studied about Abhishek, but in the exam Tilak Varma appeared 😂😂😂” Someone made a meme out of Bachchan’s iconic dialogue from ‘Mohabbatein’ which said, “Pakistan’s Loss in #INDvPAK matches is …..Parampara, Pratistha, Anushaasan.” While Bachchan has fans all over the world and the legendary actor spends most of his time working, he’s a huge sports enthusiast and more often than not, never misses a match.
