India emerged victorious in the Asia Cup 2025, defeating arch-rivals Pakistan by five wickets in an electrifying final at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday, sparking nationwide celebrations for the Men in Blue.

Taking to X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew a playful parallel with his ongoing ‘Operation Sindoor’, writing: “#OperationSindoor on the games field. Outcome is the same – India wins! Congrats to our cricketers.”

India pulled off an exciting win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 final thanks to a brilliant innings from Tilak Varma. Coming in after India lost early wickets, Tilak played calmly under pressure and smashed 69 not out off 53 balls.

His partnership with Sanju Samson and later Shivam Dube helped India chase down 147 with two balls to spare. Pakistan looked strong at first in the second innings as they had India in trouble at 20/3.

In the end, India finished at 150/5 in 19.4 overs to beat Pakistan by 5 wickets with Rinku Singh hitting the winning runs.
