Tensions escalated in Uttar Pradesh after communal violence broke out in Bareilly, leading to a heated political exchange. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav criticized the BJP-led Yogi Adityanath government, claiming that “using force reflects a government’s weakness” and asserting that governance should be rooted in dialogue and social harmony, not repression.
