Meet Manish Chaudhari: The actor who played Freddy Sodawallah in ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, got married at 54

Aryan Khan, son of Shah Rukh Khan, has impressed everyone with his debut directorial series, ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’. The show has a big star cast, but one of the most interesting characters is producer Freddy Sodawallah. The actor who plays Freddy is Manish Chaudhari, a name well-known in the entertainment industry for his subtle and realistic performances.

How Manish Chaudhari started his acting career

Manish Prakash Chaudhari began his acting journey with his film debut in 2003 with ‘Rules: Pyaar Ka Superhit Formula’. After this, he played supporting roles in many films, including ‘Socha Na Tha’, ‘Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year’, ‘Jannat 2’, ‘Raaz 3’, ‘Murderbaaz’, ‘Blood Money’, ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’, ‘Noor’ and ‘Satyameva Jayate’.

Manish did not stop at films. He also explored television and OTT platforms, showing his versatility. He appeared in shows like ‘Everest’, ‘Yeh Pyaar Nahi Toh Kya Hai’, ‘Aarya’, and ‘Bombay Begums’. According to IMDb, he has acted in over 40 films and 16 web series.

About Manish Chaudhari’s early life

His love for acting started early. While studying at St. Paul’s School, Darjeeling, Manish performed in school plays. Later, he completed a BA (Hons) in English from Kirori Mal College, Delhi University, where he joined the College Theatre Society and became an active member.

Manish Chaudhari’s work beyond Bollywood

Manish has also worked outside Hindi cinema. Recently, he was seen alongside South star Vijay Deverakonda in ‘Kingdom’. Speaking to the Indian Express, he shared, “The main challenge for me was the language. I don’t speak Telugu, so I had to do a lot of preparation to learn my lines properly. It wasn’t just about memorising them, but also understanding their meaning before delivering them. Dubbing in a language you don’t know is quite challenging, but I embraced the challenge.”

Manish Chaudhari was engaged to a South African PR consultant

In 2016, Manish was in a relationship with Adri Huysamen, a PR consultant based in South Africa. They met in Cape Town during a film shoot and soon fell in love. The couple got engaged, and Manish had said to Bombay Times, “Adri is a positive lady and I like everything about her. She is also warm and kind. We plan to get married next year.”However, their relationship did not lead to marriage, and the couple eventually parted ways.

Manish Chaudhari married Shruti Mishra at 54

Later, Manish found love in Shruti Mishra and married her at the age of 54 in 2023. The wedding took place in Gurugram and was a three-day affair, including an engagement party, haldi ceremony, and a grand wedding. The couple decided to keep it private and did not invite celebrities, making it an authentic celebration with family and friends.Shruti Mishra is an internationally trained theatre artist and dancer. She co-runs The Yellow Door Theatre with Manish and has written plays such as ‘Badalon Ka Sheher’ and ‘Antataha’. Manish has kept his married life away from the media spotlight, focusing on his craft and theatre work.

Reflecting on the audience’s reaction for his work in ‘The Ba***ds of Bollywood’, he told Bollywood Hungama, “The feedback has been so pleasant and so wonderful.
