Kalyani Priyadarshan’s ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ continues its steady march at the box office even as it enters the final stretch of its fourth week. The Dominic Arun directorial has turned out as one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest hits of 2025.

Holding steady in week four

According to early estimates from Sacnilk website, ‘Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra’ collected around Rs 70 lakhs on its 29th day. This has resulted in pushing its total India net to Rs 142 crore.

The fourth week showed some dips. Saturday and Sunday witnessed Rs 3.25 crore and Rs 4.1 crore respectively, before weekday collections went down. On Thursday, Malayalam occupancy was around 15.14%, with night shows touching a decent 26.54%.

A breakthrough for Kalyani Priyadarshan

Much of the buzz surrounding ‘Lokah’ has been connected to Kalyani Priyadarshan’s central performance. Fans and critics alike have praised her ability to carry India’s first female superhero character Chandra aka Neeli. Backed by strong performances from Naslen K. Gafoor, Sandy Master, Arun Kurian, and Vijayaraghavan, the film is called as a gem from Mollywood.

Building anticipation for the next chapter

While the first installment has already surpassed Rs 142 crore, conversations among fans are now turning toward the future installments. As the title itself suggests, Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra is the beginning of a much larger saga and the first part was just an introduction. Director Dominic Arun has hinted at grander plans for the sequels, next part from the universe will explore Tovino Thomas’ character Chathan.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
