Shane Nigam REACTS to viral video:’ It was selectively edited’

Actor Shane Nigam has responded to the controversy surrounding a viral video from a college promotion of his film ‘Balti’, where he was accused of ignoring a fan.The short clip showed a girl tapping him on the shoulder while calling out to him, and Shane seemingly walking away without responding. Social media quickly labeled him “arrogant,” sparking heated debates.

Shane Nigam says he turned and greeted her, but that portion was edited away

During the promotional event of ‘Balti’, Shane explained that the video was selectively edited. “I should actually thank the person who edited that video. Because I had turned around and greeted her, but that part was cut out. No problem, I’m used to these things. But naturally, people may have wondered why I ignored her. That’s why I’m saying this,” he clarified. Acknowledging the negative traction, he added, “Nowadays, these kinds of videos go viral. Negativity spreads more easily.”

The college student explains her side

Shane personally invited the college student from the viral video to another promotional event for ‘Balti’. The actor also took a group photo with her and the entire team. The student also came forward with her version, supporting Shane Nigam. “I never thought a video like that would come out. I had already shaken hands with Shane and was standing there. Then, when a girl behind me asked me to get him to shake her hand too, I tapped him. That tap is the only part shown in the video, and it looks like it was me calling him,” she explained. She added that Shane thought she tapped him to help clear the view for others. “I’ve watched Shane Nigam’s films, and I really like them. It was a blessing to see a film star up close like that,” she said.
