Former Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli Reappears Publicly After Coup Speculations

In Nepal, for the first time since the upheaval sparked by Jain Ze’s revolution, former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has appeared publicly. A new video shows him holding a collective meeting with leaders of his party, CPN-UML, dispelling rumors that he had fled to Dubai after the political coup. The video is said to be from Bhaktapur, around 15 kilometers east of Kathmandu, specifically from the Gundu area, where Oli has reportedly been staying for the past week.Following the coup, KP Sharma Oli had been under military security for nearly nine days, which fueled widespread speculation about his disappearance and potential exile. However, his latest appearance signals that he is not only free from the military’s tight watch but is also actively re-engaging with party officials. By resuming these discussions, Oli appears to be strengthening his political stance and reassuring his supporters of his continued presence in Nepal’s political landscape.
