Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) surprised fans on Tuesday, by sharing a candid, but slightly blurry picture with actor Abhishek Bachchan, marking a reunion, years after their last collaboration. Posting the photo on his social media handle, RGV jokingly captioned it as “Shaking with Abhee Shake.”

Fans speculate an upcoming film collaboration

While the selfie was blurry, fans were quick to express excitement about the two being spotted together again. Some went ahead and speculated a possible collaboration, given that the duo last worked together on Sarkar Raj (2008), where Abhishek played Shankar Nagre opposite Amitabh Bachchan. “Sarkar back again?” a fan asked.Another praised their films together, saying, “Abhishek Bachchan x Ram Gopal Varma. A duo that redefines storytelling on screen.”While neither RGV nor Abhishek confirmed a new project, the viral photo has left fans hopeful.

Abhishek shoots for Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘King’

Meanwhile, this photo offers a closer look at Abhishek’s look for his upcoming film with Shah Rukh Khan, titled ‘King’. Although much about the film has been kept under wraps, Abhishek is rumoured to take on the role of the lead antagonist in the film.Fans got the first look of Abhishek’s bearded avatar, when photos from the sets began doing their rounds online. The actor was seen with a new hairdo and a salt-and-pepper beard while rocking a tailored suit, intensifying the buzz around his role in the film that also stars Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone and Rani Mukerji.
