Katy Perry celebrates the anniversary of ‘143’

Katy Perry celebrates anniversary of '143': Reflects on her past year; 'No forcing, no controlling'

Katy Perry pens down a heartfelt note on the anniversary of her album ‘143,’ reflecting on the connection she had with fans and the tumultuous year that shaped her life. She posted a memory dump on her Instagram, which combined a few pieces of her practice sessions for ‘The Lifetimes Tour,’ while others included her hanging out with her close ones.

Katy Perry reflects on her past year

In a prolonged, heartfelt statement, the 39-year-old claimed that she’s not the one for anniversary posts, but it would be ignorant if she rolled her eyes over for this year. “Whatever comes next, I’m letting it unfold naturally. No forcing, no controlling — just trusting the angels, the fans, and the music to guide me where I’m meant to go,” she wrote in the paragraph that continued in the comment section.

Describing the album ‘143’ as an ‘I Love You’ to her fans, the singer expressed that she has been loving herself lately, especially after completing the unreal South American tour leg. While she has suffered her course by being in the spotlight, she only aims to learn when she hits the wall. Moreover, she emphasized the reason for celebrating the wins and reevaluating the losses. “History is important, we learn from history, we are reminded of how to and what not to do when we look back. We celebrate the wins and reflect on the losses. All of it is valuable,” she said, before adding, “Let’s hope we get to evolve together for years to come and at the end of it all be proud and at peace with how we tried our best in this imperfect world.”
