PM Modi In Arunachal Pradesh: Double Engine Sarkar Driving Unprecedented North-East Growth

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public gathering in Arunachal Pradesh, highlighting the rapid transformation of the North-East under the “double engine sarkar” — BJP-led governments at both the Centre and State. PM Modi emphasized the region’s importance by referring to the eight North-Eastern states as “Ashtalakshmi” and credited policy integrity and honest efforts for Arunachal’s remarkable progress. He outlined major developments, including the construction of high-speed highways, completion of the Sela Tunnel, new helipads, and improved air connectivity through the Hollongi airport. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stones for two major power projects, which will not only boost the local economy but generate employment for thousands. He took a sharp dig at the Congress party, blaming it for decades of neglect, especially in tribal and border regions. Under the Vibrant Villages Program, over 400 border villages in Arunachal have seen accelerated development. Modi also highlighted healthcare improvements, working women’s hostels, and the success of the GST Savings Festival.Calling for self-reliance, PM Modi urged citizens to adopt and promote indigenous products, saying, “Gharv se kahen — yeh Swadeshi hai.”
