Jolly LLB 3’ takes 6th biggest opening for Akshay Kumar since Pandemic

After a string of box office disappointments since the pandemic, Akshay Kumar is experiencing a resurgence in 2025. His latest release, ‘Jolly LLB 3,’ co-starring Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla, and directed by Shubash Kapoor, has opened strongly with ₹12.50 crore on day one. Positive reviews and strong word-of-mouth suggest a significant jump in collections.

‘Akshay Kumar has been one of the biggest pillars in Hindi cinema over the past 3 decades.Over the years he has delivered many successful and blockbuster hits. But since Pandemic the actor has been struggling at the box office with most of his films failing to connect with the audience. But it seems the year 2025 has bought a big sigh of relief for the actor. This year he has already delivered three successes with Housefull 5, Kesari 2 and Sky Force. And now with this fourth release Jolly LLB 3- the actor is assured to have a good year after a very long time. Jolly LLB 3 which sees him don the lawyer’s coat once again and teaming up with Arshad Warsi , Saurabh Shukla and Shubash Kapoor has earned Rs 12.50 crore from its day 1 collection. And going by the strong word of mouth and positive reviews the film is expected to showcase at least 80 to 90 % jump at the ticket window. As per a few reports till last night the advance booking for Saturday in national multiplex chains was at 80,000 tickets, while the film had sold just 40,000 tickets for its day 1. The film has also taken a strong opening in comparison to Akshay’s other releases since the end of pandemic. The court room drama debuted on 6th spot with its day 1 collection beating the likes of his films like Sky Force, Samrat Prithviraj and Raksha Bandhan.
