FBI Director Kash Patel came under sharp scrutiny during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing where Democrats pressed him on the agency’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files and activists heckled him in the halls of the Capitol.
A video of the confrontation, which has since gone viral, showed activists shouting at Kash Patel, “You don’t care about kids getting raped.” Another accuses him of serving Israeli interests, saying, “You’re claiming to serve the American people? You are serving Israel.” Kash Patel did not respond directly and was seen walking past the hecklers in silence.

During the hearing, Kash Patel was grilled by Democrats over what they said was a cover-up of Jeffrey Epstein-related files. Rep. Jamie Raskin played a clip from a 2023 interview in which Kash Patel said the FBI had possession of Epstein’s “black book” of client names.
Jamie Raskin pressed Kash Patel, asking, “How did you go from being a crusader for accountability and transparency for the Epstein files to being a part of the conspiracy and cover up?”
Kash Patel responded that the FBI had released all information that was “legally allowed” and insisted no secret client list was being withheld. The Justice Department announced in July that no such list exists and that it would not be releasing further files.
Kash Patel also signaled the bureau would investigate US President Donald Trump’s claim that a letter to Jeffrey Epstein, allegedly signed by him, was forged. When asked by Rep. Jared Moskowitz whether he would probe the Jeffrey Epstein estate for circulating a fake document, Kash Patel first questioned the premise but eventually said, “Sure, I’ll do it.”
