A day after police gunned down the two shooters who had opened fire outside actor Disha Patani’s house in Bareilly, her father, Jagdish Patani, expressed gratitude to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for providing them with full security and taking swift action against the attackers.

Speaking exclusively to CNN-News18, Jagdish Patani said, “Thanks to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, my family received protection. Since the incident, the Chief Minister has continuously supported and consoled me and my family.”

Praising the police action, Jagdish, a retired police officer himself, said, “It was not easy to face such a big gang.” He added that the state government ensured tight security for his family following the firing incident.

“My family and I have been provided with full security. I myself am a former police officer. It was a big task for the police,” he stated.
