About the controversy
The petition, filed by the Association for Aiding Justice through advocate Chandrakant Gaikwad, had sought a stay on the film’s release and demanded deletion of the song ‘Bhai Vakeel Hai’. Meanwhile, the filmmakers’ legal team reportedly pointed out during the hearing that a similar plea had already been dismissed by the Allahabad High Court. However, the bench ruled that the court was not worried about cinematic portrayals, thus allowing the film to keep to its September 19 release.
